Chris and I have been in Waikoloa for a little more than a week now. She is getting familiarized with life on the Big Island, roads, culture, ocean, snorkeling, kayaking, running, and hiking. We have spent some time re-domesticating the house/office space here. We are settling in and enjoying our time. Lots of activity at Ocean Sports, the upcoming tourist season, whales on their way, new hotel contracts, crew training is adding to all of the excitement.
I am off to Hilo today to pick up my Mini Cooper which I had shipped from Long Beach a couple of weeks ago, it is a convertible and should be alot of fun here on the roads of the Big Island. The gas mileage is around 37mpg on the highways which should take some of the gas strain away. We will each have reliable transportation to get us around.

My oldest son is living in the family house over at Volcano. You might run into him at some point. He has been working on the set up for the big NYE party at the Mitchell estate. Life in the islands is just too damn good, especially as i look out my window at 3 feet of snow with more on the way (and i live in downtown Spokane). I sure hope to see you, and meet Chris, one of these seasons.
