Wintertime pics in Hawaii

This is a lucky pic of a spinner dolphin surfing the bow wake of the "Scotch Power 3", at sunset. I call it Ha Nai'a, or breath of the dolphin in Hawaiian.

The "Scotch Power 3" taken from Piper Cherokee 26M at 500ft....David Hume is the captain that day...

A humpback whale surfacing to check us out. Spy hopping, the official term.....

Whale sounding....great tail

Flew with friends Spoon and Amelia Fleetwood to Maui and have lunch with her dad, Mick....Great "Obama burger", a cajun ono sandwich with a hot wasabi sauce.....it was onolicious!!

There was much large surf from the NW during January, some of it completely closed out Honokohau Harbor....some folks
nearly got washed away on a lava rock outcropping...

More fun taking pictures of dolphins frolicking!!
